AccessEd Director
Laurie Casna, J.D., is a licensed attorney in Massachusetts and a distinguished leader with over two decades of experience in education, marked by her achievements as a superintendent, educational consultant, and administrator.
Her tenure as a superintendent was so impactful that the Department of Education featured her district's success in a published case study, highlighting her ability to drive transformative improvements in educational systems. Laurie has also managed large-scale projects for educational organizations, excelling in staffing and implementation to widespread acclaim, showcasing her capacity to lead complex initiatives that deliver measurable outcomes. With 15 years of experience as a special education teacher and administrator, Laurie’s administrative experience includes serving as a Director of Special Education across private, public, and charter school settings, where she spearheaded efforts to enhance programming and compliance. She has successfully guided multiple districts through State Comprehensive and Tiered Focused Monitoring Reviews.
As a national consultant, Laurie has worked with over 75 school districts to establish and implement evidence-based practices in alignment with state and federal education laws. Beyond her professional roles, Laurie is a devoted mother of three young children, finding joy in supporting their diverse interests. Her unwavering commitment to advancing educational practices, coupled with her deep understanding of school systems, leadership, legal frameworks, and instructional excellence, underscores her significant impact on education nationwide.
